  • Brilliantly intense hair color No ammonia or peroxide Formulated in Italy Ready to use
ion Color Brilliance Semi-Permanent Brights Hair Color are hi-fashion hair color shades designed to give vivid, boldly intense results. In twenty to forty minutes ion Color Brilliance Brights deposits color on pre-bleached natural or color treated hair. ion Color Brilliance Brights can be applied to pre-lightened hair, natural, or colored hair. ion Hair Color’s superior quality, proprietary blends are formulated in Italy by our expert team of chemists to deliver unparalleled results. Our unique system combines the finest quality natural and exotic ingredients with powerful high-tech compounds to achieve exquisite, brilliant color. ion Hair Color science relies on the power of micro-pigmentation-- ion's microscopic pigment molecules oxidize slower, allowing them to penetrate deep into the cortex of each hair strand for long-lasting, fade-resistant color
  • ion Color Brilliance Semi-Permanent Brights Hair Color can be applied two different ways. 1. For the most vibrant result apply to pre-lightened hair. Pre-lighten with Ion Color Brilliance Ammonia Free Powder Lightener (not included) to the desired level of lift. It is important to note that the degree of lift achieved with pre-lightening will directly affect the vibrancy and intensity of the final result. Underlying exposed contributing pigment must be taken into consideration. If the hair is orange or a dark yellow this will contribute to the final color. To achieve a boldly intense brights color, pre-lighten to the level indicated in the table below for each specific color. After pre-lightening, shampoo with ion Color Defense Shampoo. Dry the hair. Apply chosen brights shade directly on dry hair and process for 20 to 40 minutes depending on the level of color intensity desired. Strand test every 5-10 minutes. Heat is not necessary for processing if the hair has been pre-lightened. After processing, thoroughly rinse and apply ion® Color Brilliance After Color Treatment to close the cuticle and lock the color deep inside the hair. 2. Color shine overlays on natural or color treated hair. Apply brights directly onto natural or color treated dry hair and process for 20 to 40 minutes. For more intense vibrant results, cover the hair with a processing cap and process with heat. Strand test every 5-10 minutes. After processing is completed, thoroughly rinse and apply ion Color Brilliance After Color Treatment to close the cuticle and lock color deep inside the hair
  • ion Color Brilliance Semi-Permanent Brights Hair Color are non-oxidative dyes that can be extremely long lasting and may become permanent. Apply to dry, pre-lighten hair. Should removal be necessary from hair, it is important to know that lightener may not completely remove Brights from hair. ion Color Corrector is not recommended for removal of Brights. It is designed for permanent and Demi-Permanent color removal. Always read the product packaging and inserts for complete directions, instructions, and warnings, and make sure to perform both the strand test and the patch test before applying your color.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Storm works great as an ash toner! This will not make your hair the color of the swatch unless your hair has been lightened to white/very pale yellow. That being said the "storm" color is a great ash toner. My hair was light pink due to fading from purple and it brought it back to silver purple! Completely removed all pink tones from my hair. It is pretty thick so I had to use four tubes. Would recommend leaving it in for the max time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gross color, faded fast I bought this a couple weeks ago. I have rather thick, shoulder length hair. It was originally a dark blonde. I bleached it. It took 8 bottles to even get a decent overall purple tone. After a few washes, the ends of my hair were a gross green-brown tone and parts of it were blue. After one more wash, it faded to a gross dishwater blonde with little bits of my hair having a slight purple tint. Very disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from quality product i’ve used this like several times, even when my hair isn’t lightened fully this color always comes through for the most part. if your hair is extremely thick like mine i would suggest diluting it with conditioner to make it go a longer way and be able to fully saturate the hair, it will not lessen the intensity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brights Storm Gray DO NOT USE PEROXIDE DEVELOPER OR OTHER ADDITIVES: This stuff has done a wonderful job of coloring my white hair gray! I am a young 66 with below the shoulder white hair! Wash hair, no conditioner, 2 days before coloring. I opened 3 tubes in my color bowl and applied to new growth first then saturated the rest. I covered with plastic wrap, set my timer for 55 minutes then it was shower time. I set my shower for cool and the shower head for gentle rain for th

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible! I used this product on my daughter’s lightened hair and it was barely noticeable on the whitest parts. The product is very thick, and we needed 2 tubes for her shoulder length hair.

I’ve purchase this trying to dye to my black hair grey and it didn’t lift. What am I’m doing wrong? Do I need to purchase anything extra?

Asked by: Bill3374
Yes, you must bleach your black hair first. For these semi permanent hair colors your hair needs to be lighter than the shade of gray you’re trying to achieve. Once you bleach, the gray should cover, but I must warn you, even though these colors warn how difficult they are to remove or fade and may become permanent, I found they fade with one or two washes with a purple shampoo. This may not be the case with everyone but I’ve tried two grays with the same outcome.

Hello, looking at the Ion brands Grey’s semi permanent hair color and I’m wondering if it’s a good choice to achieve a silver color to my already existing light blonde hair? I want a little change but don’t think I want to do permanent color. Thanks!

Asked by: Marelder
It washes completely out by about 2 or 3 weeks and you can try different shades. I stopped using silver toner

I have thick hair & dyed with clairol permanent light cool brown so it’s a bit  dry but it’s still shines. I want it to stay a very cool brown w/out a lot of damage &my hair was dyed b4 I dyed it brown. Think storm make it a silvery brown like a toner? Ty

Hello, in my experience, (I tried titanium colour and storm colour) I find the colour just doesn’t catch unless your hair is very lightened. I have lighter brown hair with bleached streaks, and I wanted to use the semi permanent gray colour as a kind of toner to rule out any gold or copper tones from my brown. It didn’t catch very well on the brown. It does cover you brown and darken the colour for about 10 days, but it’s not a good mid to long term toning solution I find. Hope this helps!

I have bleached blonde hair, I'm looking for something to achieve a silver tone to my hair, can you help me?

Asked by: Carolyn05
I'm not a beautician, but to achieve silver/dark gray hair, I apply a toner after bleaching and before using silver dye: mix one part Wella T14 pale ash blonde (or other shade of your choice) with two parts 20 volume developer. Sometimes I add a capful or two of Wella 050 cooling violet. Let process for up to 30 minutes, then rinse.

How long do I have to wait to apply this color to my hair? I just pre-lightened and put on a toner, ( because of orange). I would like to use Brights grey color Smoky Amethyst

Asked by: BabyBird48
This color is semi-permanent, so no more developer needed... therefore, you can apply right away.
