  • Brilliantly intense hair color No ammonia or peroxide Formulated in Italy Ready to use
ion Color Brilliance™ Semi-Permanent Brights are hi-fashion hair color shades designed to give vivid, boldly intense results. In 20 to 40 minutes ion Color Brilliance™ Brights deposits color on pre-bleached natural or color treated hair. ion Color Brilliance™ Brights can be applied to pre-lightened hair and natural or colored hair.
  • ion Color Brilliance Semi-Permanent Brights Hair Color can be applied two different ways.

    1. For the most vibrant result apply to pre-lightened hair. Pre-lighten with Ion Color Brilliance Ammonia Free Powder Lightener (not included) to the desired level of lift. It is important to note that the degree of lift achieved with pre-lightening will directly affect the vibrancy and intensity of the final result. Underlying exposed contributing pigment must be taken into consideration. If the hair is orange or a dark yellow this will contribute to the final color.

To achieve a boldly intense brights color, pre-lighten to the level indicated in the table below for each specific color. After pre-lightening, shampoo with ion Color Defense Shampoo. Dry the hair. Apply chosen brights shade directly on dry hair and process for 20 to 40 minutes depending on the level of color intensity desired. Strand test every 5-10 minutes. Heat is not necessary for processing if the hair has been pre-lightened. After processing, thoroughly rinse and apply ion® Color Brilliance After Color Treatment to close the cuticle and lock the color deep inside the hair.

    2. Color shine overlays on natural or color treated hair. Apply brights directly onto natural or color treated dry hair and process for 20 to 40 minutes. For more intense vibrant results, cover the hair with a processing cap and process with heat. Strand test every 5-10 minutes.

After processing is completed, thoroughly rinse and apply ion Color Brilliance After Color Treatment to close the cuticle and lock color deep inside the hair.

  • ion Color Brilliance Semi-Permanent Brights Hair Color are non-oxidative dyes that can be extremely long lasting and may become permanent. Apply to dry, pre-lighten hair.

Should removal be necessary from hair, it is important to know that lightener may not completely remove Brights from hair. ion Color Corrector is not recommended for removal of Brights. It is designed for permanent and Demi-Permanent color removal.

Always read the product packaging and inserts for complete directions, instructions, and warnings, and make sure to perform both the strand test and the patch test before applying your color.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not good! I normally purchase these, however this time they were not the same consistency. They were too thick and hard to work with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Long lasting and vibrant color I have had my hair dyed with the Jade shade for over two months now, and the color is still very vibrant. Vibrant color comes at a price because the first week or two my hair color was bleeding onto my clothes and pillow. One tube of this goes much further than the same amount of dye from any other semi-permanent hair dye brand that I've tried. Overall, it is a great product that I would use again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful for reference, i used the magenta. I it was bleach when i first applied it. the smell was incredibly strong and it burned my scalp a bit. i kept it on for 30 minutes- as directed by the box- and absolutely no color stuck. my hair is still blonde from bleaching. i’d give 0/5 if i could. i’ve used all sorts of hair dye products and this is absolutely the worst i’ve used. if you do decide to buy it please open your windows. the smell is awful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great color but fades fast Love the color and relative ease of application. I'm not too happy that it fades quite quickly. I saw a distinct change after my second shampoo. Since I cannot find a "permanent" dye in a nice shade of blue I will use this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My hair was golden blonde. I used Lavender as tone After coloring blonde I used the lavender as a toner on wet hair for 30 minutes. The brassy tones are gone. It worked great. I'm really happy with the results. I have a couple of lavender highlights. I like the product a lot.

My hair is growing in a silver white - do I have to pre lighten?

Asked by: Seriously8
You should have no need to pre-lighten. Good luck, I loved the look.

We used the permanent lavender on my daughter's hair. We bleached it to a light yellow before and waited until the next day to color. It turned out gray. Can I add a darker semi-permanent purple to make it darker overall?

Asked by: Yeowsers
Use color starter and then the dark purple.

I dye my hair with ion 7A med ash blonde, my natural now is white on top and as you go back it gets darker to dark blonde or maybe very light brown. Right now my hair has lighted the blond to very light blonde. I would like to transition to Lt gray

after applying the hair dye, do i have to wait a certain amount of time before i can put hair products in my hair?

Asked by: lynn1444
After applying the dye (please follow instructions for Developer mixing ratios for the dye to deposit properly) you will need to allow your hair to process for the allotted period of time between 30-45 minutes. After processing is complete wash the product out of your hair. After you wash your hair, you can use hair care products on your hair. It is recommended that after coloring your hair you use a color sealer treatment and color safe hair care to help your color stay longer.

Trying to get brassiness out of dark blonde dyed hair, titanium left green hue, lavender hints of lilac. Should I mix titanium with blue?

Asked by: LindaLou1016
I would get a toner rather than dying it.

I have light brown hair with some warm tones I am tryin to cool. I would love more of a grayish brown color. Would the lavender work to tone my hair a cooler gray-brown color? Could this turn my hair any unwanted colors?

Asked by: Taylor019
Lavender would give you a light purple tinge to your hair. To achieve gray, you would need gray coloring.

Is this due meant to go over brown hair?

Asked by: fenny278
No. The hair you want colored with this product must be bleached/lightened first. Otherwise, you will not be able to see the color
