Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible I used a whole container on the ends of my hair and did everything the instructions said and nothing showed up. I decided to try one more time and used a second container on just the ends of my hair and still nothing showed up. I would not recommend to anyone because my hair looked exactly the same as before I used it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't Work. I bought the Cotton Candy shade as my 12 year old daughter wanted to color her hair for summer. She is blonde and the assistant at Sallys said she would not have to lighten/bleach. I applied the color as directed. It didn't take and turned only some strands into a rose gold shade. We turned around and dyed it with kool-aid (at 24 cents a packet, I spent less than $1) and got way better results and she loved it. I should have just saved money and time the kool-aid route to begin with.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wildfire is NOT red! I have red hair, for my touch ups I usually buy rock and roll red and that is red RED! Today I bought wildfire red and when I got out of the shower my hair was orange!! Not red! So don’t buy this color is you want a true red.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It!!! I've been using this product for 3-4 years & I absolutely love it. This color holds to my hair & doesn't fade fast like a lot of other colors. I'm always receiving compliments on the color. I won't use another product on my hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Manic Panic - Vampire Red The product I received was the classic vampire red color but was a bit runny. Not the usual thickness of manic panic that I’m used to so there was a bit of a mess, especially after diluting. Not the funnest time but did the job.

Do I really need to lighten hair prior to using manic panic? My 10yr old really wants to dye hair but I don't want to lighten her natural dark color hair because it can cause damage to her virgin hair.

Asked by: missyc166
Some shades will show up without lightening her hair so just do a test run and see how the color show she up

How do I achieve a silver tone on light blonde hair?

Asked by: VEE12345
Make sure your hair is at the lightest possible.. as close to white without toning. Even a light blonde will most likely require bleaching. Any hint of yellow in the hair can change a lovely silver tone to more greenish because of the blue used to create the grey.  Dye with a silver/grey dye, like ion titanium or manic panic blue steel. I’ve even had the got2b silver box dye work just fine, but it doesn’t stay long.

Do you not sell bad boy blue in the manic panic?

Asked by: Cecilia 21
Sadly, Sally's no longer seems to carry the full line of Manic Panic colors. There was a time when they did.

I just used a permanent hair dye a week ago and my hair turned out burgundy but I wanted bright red..can I use manic panic on top to make it more red?

Asked by: Crystalshyne
Yes, manic panic is semi permanent and will just add color on top of it. I recommend getting a disposable shower cap and keeping the dye on your head overnight for the best color results if you're going for a very bright red.

Does this dye require bleaching

Asked by: Daisy2193
It depends on how dark your hair is. If your hair is darker brown, it won’t show up.

Hi! i originally dyed my hair a dark burgundy but its been about 5 months and its now a reddish brown color. I want to dye it after midnight blue, would you recommend i bleach it or just right over it? Also what kind of color itll fade out to?

Asked by: cyndy reyes
I would recommend you bleach it first. When bleaching reds the hair tends to turn an orange shade if not left on long enough (but don’t leave it in for too long). Since you want to use midnight blue which is pretty dark so you should be good if there is still color left on your hair
