Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just ok I have had black hair for 3 years! Used black cherry with 30 developer thought it would atleast lighten it up! I was pretty hopeful about it atleast going three shades lighter! Only thing the black cherry by ion did was cancel out the blue tent to my black hair! I guess i have to bleach my whole head to get anything else lighter then black !? :( love black but need a change ! Not giving this a bad review bc ive seen pictures online of this! Just was hopeful that it would lighten my hair up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from feels like you had a deep conditioning I have been using this product for about 3 years now. I have tried others and I can't seem to get the same deep conditioning feeling after like this one. And honestly, this product has very little smell. Other main stream developers I have used the smell is so strong I can't be in the same room as my kids because they scream it smells so bad. This one is very mild.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Burns my scalp I have used several different developers and color products throughout the years. I thought I would try ion since it was on sale. My scalp can handle just about any color product including bleach without any irritation. Within ten minutes of processing, my scalp was burning. I don’t know if I happened to grab an older bottle, but I do know I’m not going to be using their developer in the future. To me, it’s not worth the risk.

So If it expires on 11/30/18, why would I still get it? I wouldn't mind buying it if it still works after expiring. I just want a definate yes that it will work the same before wasting money.

Asked by: LLjag180
I checked my bottle and didn't see an expiration date.It The large bottle lasts a long time as I only color my hair about every 6 weeks and I have not had any issues with it not working properly. .You can contact the company directly as to whether it is still good to use after 11/3/18.

I usually use the normal Ion 20 developer, but I want my hair to go lighter when dying it black cherry, I have thin/fine hair, and I’m worried about damaged.. will this damage my hair?

Asked by: Olivia S
I have thin fine curly hair, I tried using the ion 30 developer but found that I liked the 20 better. but I use the extra light ash blonde in the l'oreal brand. don't know if that makes a difference.

so i have blonde hair it's about golden blonde with a little darker tent. I'm looking for a way to make my hair like a whitesh blonde will this work and with what? Also i'm trying to stay away from percent dye so more of a lightening powder. Thanks

I’ve used this to get my hair to a white. My hair is black and I took about 2 months to get to a white and I used wells t18 toner and purple shampoos. I had to let the toner and purple shampoos sit awhile longer in my hair so that it went to a white at the very end of the 2nd month. The purple in the shampoo and toner cancels out yellow. But using this developer on the scalp of my hair also helped get it to white. Hope this helps.

I have used loreal hicolor red hot, will i still acheive black cherry color and what number developer should i use?

Asked by: Enicita77
To my experience the 30 will result in a shade lighter it does help color if you have grays or resistant to color hair. I’m not a colorist, but I’d use 20 for it come out the darker shade.
