Rated 3 out of 5 by from Roots I highlighted my hair yesterday. It was a little brassy after so I get this toner. I have Very thin, very fine hair. I used vol 10 developer and mixed 1:1 as suggested by the box. I left it in for a little less than 20 min. It did the trick, however it lightened my roots quite a bit. All in all I would use this again but next time I will definitely be avoiding my roots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lightened bleached hair - orange to blonde. Lightens my hair well. Was orange-blonde from bleach, then it toned out to a more even blonde. Snowcap helped a lot (mix with equal-part 20 developer: ~2 oz).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultra Violet - Amazing! I bleach and tone my roots every 3-4 weeks and have tried a variety of toners in the last couple of months depending on what my local Sally had in stock, including the Bright White in both lavender moon and ultra violet. I am compelled to write this review after using ultra violet because it turned out so beautiful and I haven't seen many people review it yet (also the swatch is kind of confusing). I mixed it 1:2 with a 10 developer and left it on my roots for 20 minutes and pulled through the ends for just a few minutes, this is a stark contrast to the lavender moon which toned (overtoned) very quickly and needed to be rinsed very fast, like just over 10 minutes. The ultra violet needed to stay on a bit longer but toned beautifully without leaving any excess pigment. Dry, my hair looks perfectly white (not silver/gray), and wet it has just the slightest pinky/purple sheen. I really love it, and for me this toner stands out well above the other toners I've used so far (Wella color tango demi, Age Beautiful beige blonde, Ion Bright White lavender moon). I will definitely repurchase and use ultra violet again.

Is this the dye cream that’ll change my hair color or just a toner? Ordered it hoping my hair will turn icy white!

Asked by: Shaishai
Ion Bright White Creme Toner is a toner. To get white hair you need to apply toner to a level 9 or 10 base (bleach as pale as it goes). There is no dye that will take dark hair to icy white in one step, it is always a bleach and tone process. :)

What toner and developer do I use to take out brassiness if I want to keep my color around ion 7A permanent colored hair

Asked by: SupperMarie
20 developer would be besting that situation, however using purple shampoo followed with deep conditioning should do the trick. Overtone brand also has 4 different types of toning conditioner, catered to different types of color correction and those are definitely worth the try as well.

If when i bleach its an orange brassy blond what type of toner should ibget?

Asked by: Leahkhern55
Depends on the degree of lift and orangey / brassiness. You may have not lifted enough of the color and if that is the case. No amount of toner will work.

I'm trying to go from light/medium brown to a "dirty" or medium blonde I have bleached my hair but which toner should I use the bleach has made some orange tone in my hair will this work? Or should i just go over it with a medium blonde dye?

Asked by: Salynn25
Hair dye will not life the orange. Bleach will lift, but it sounds like you just need a good toner if the hair is at the "level" of lightness you want. Hair is measured by levels. Like a dark blonde is an 8 while a platinum is a 12. Depending on what level your "orange" is will depend on how much a toner can help. If you have orange, a purple/lavender toner will deposit color with a 10 developer. If you use a 20 developer, the toner may lift and I would suggest applying it to the areas that need the most "help" before applying to roots. Remember, roots always process faster because of the heat from your scalp. Good luck. Brad Mondo on Youtube has some great videos that explain everything you would ever need to know about bleaching hair:)

You can use an Ash color to get more beige and less yellow. Many people recommend Wella T18 toner. Good luck!

I bought the icy white toner and when it showed up the bottle says it’s hair color. I know toner and hair color are different and just want to make sure I received the correct thing.

Asked by: SabLamb1
The tube, inside the box, is labeled hair color. I'm guessing they use the same tube for all dye and toner, during production. I always double check the stamp, near the cap of tube, to ensure I have recieved the correct item.
