What makes it special?
  • Vibrant, long-lasting, fade-resistant results
  • Long-lasting, true-to-tone color
  • Economical 1:2 mix ratio
Pre-lighten the hair to desired level before applying toner. Mix 1 part Wella Color Charm toning color with 2 parts 20 volume Wella Color Charm developer. Apply to towel dried hair then, develop for up to 30 minutes. Check frequently to see if desired results are achieved.
You can customize the toner formula by intermixing shades. For example, if you want a shade that is in between an ash tone and a warm tone, try mixing equal parts of T-18 and T-14 with equal parts of T-11 or T-35.

What is a bleach wash? My hair is super dry and damaged. It’s blonde and gray with some dark roots. I can’t keep my blonde and gray pretty. They immediately turn brassy. I have a purple shampoo & hard water shampoo. Recommendations? I’m desperate

Asked by: Nanajayni84
A bleach wash uses a bleach mixture which is then blended with shampoo and applied to wet hair. A toner is a nice way to remove brassiness from your hair, it is low damaging as you only use 10 volume developer with it. I want my hair a really light kinda white hair my hair right now is a level 9 and I wanna use a toner to lift. What do you recommend that will give me a nice level 10 and which developer do I use

Asked by: Emily Escandon
With toner you would typically use 10 volume developer. Most 10 volume developer will lift your hair one level or give minimal lift. so i bleached my hair about 6 weeks ago and idk if i can still tone it?

Asked by: gracie833
I’m not a hairdresser but I get bleached highlights quarterly and use this on my roots and all over every 3 weeks. It washes out of my bleached areas of my hair faster than the other parts of my hair. But to answer your question I do use it on bleached hair. Repeat- I’m not a hairdresser. :)

Which toner would be best to add a little bit of warmth - I'm a natural dirty blonde and my hair is too ashy/white usually after it is lifted. I want a very light pale gold so super light blonde but just with a slight gold, buttery color not white/ash

Asked by: eleonarea
Unfortunately it is easier to subdue warm colors using toner then adding warmth into ash. I would use a clarifying shampoo to get as much as the ash out. Then add a toner with anything with a .3 after the level, meaning if your light blonde, use a 8.3 or 9.3. The base level is 9, the number after the decimal ( .3) means the underlying tones and .3 is gold.

I'm confused on how much developer to mix with my T18 lightest ash blonde toner, I know it's a 1:2 ratio.. But, how many cups of developer do I mix with my 1.4oz/42ml bottle??

Asked by: Queen Sophie97
In directions it says to mix 1 part Wella Color Charm toning color with 2 parts Wella Color Charm developer. Replace the 'parts' to with ounces or the non metallic measurement that you are using. So Mix your 1 ounce of toner with 2 ounces of developer for the mixture. So long as you are using the same units measure the Toner and Developer and keeping the 1:2 ratio you are good to go. Bleached my hair and dyed it platinum blonde my bottom part of my hair is a light blonde but the top part is a light yellow i used t-18 to lighten and it didn't do anything what do i use now?

Asked by: Redneckangel009
The t18 is for already almost white hair. Your brassy roots are a common thing, using the wella toner with the 20 vol should help lift and deposit the brassy tones ,but be careful because your ends are light as you said and the porous ends will pick up every undertone on the t18. Also make sure you check if its more orange ( use a ash with blue under tones) or if its more yellow ( use a toner with a violet base). I've been a hairstylist for 15 years and I see people ( even other hairstylist ) use there go to violet on orange and they wonder why it didn't work to its true potential.

I want to do a silver toner wash on my hair to revive my silver toned hair at home. I had it done at the salon months ago and she said to do a silver toner wash going forward.  Would the T18 do this?

Asked by: Kimber78
Yes the t18 should definitely revive the hair... also washing your hair with a purple shampoo should do the trick as well!!
