Rated 5 out of 5 by from Root Clipping Solution! I searched high and low for decent root clips while allowing my hair to air dry on both wash and refresh days. Regular alligator clips are too tiny and snag in my hair. I have some plastic "claw" clips that do ok, but they roll over if I'm not careful in applying them, leaving my roots flatter than if I'd never used them. I actually wouldn't have purchased these if I hadn't seen them in a Sally's recently. The size is wider and longer than they looked online, and they are perfect for root-clipping small sections of hair securely! I recommend turning them sort of upside down when root clipping, so the "dip" is facing gravity. It helps the clips stay easily upright. These never leave a mark in my hair, and they feel strong and are super cheap! I'm on here to buy more in case the ones we have break ever! It's odd to admit, but this is a Holy Grail item for me now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for clipping wet curly hair at root I use these to section and clip my long naturally curly hair at the root to give lift when drying. Other reviewers have pointed out that these are breakable, but with care you can get enough use out of these for the low price per pack. Great for curly girl use because they are smooth and perfect for wet hair - I always keep a quantity on hand safely stored in a clear box. I give these an Excellent, even discounting occasional breakage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for air-drying and stretching hair. Product review: I place these in my freshly washed, 4B/4C 4-inch TWA, 2 per section to stretch each section as flat as possible, and since they are curved, they are comfortable to sleep in. When I wake up, my hair is nice and dry, and stretched. I even made a video showing how I do it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXYdsMiQPdQ

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap You get what you pay for. These clips break upon simply falling from bath counter to floor. I only have 2 left and I just bought them 1 week ago.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for clipping back bangs I use these to hold my bangs back from my face. These clips are a little bulky (I think they are cute) so I don't really use them in public; even the black ones, but they are good for use at home. They do loosen a little if I try to keep them in my hair all day, but it does what I intended to use them for.

Do these clips have a bend in them? Do they leave a crease mark in hair after drying?

Asked by: Sally AA
They don't have much bend. They're made with hard plastic. I use them for root clipping because they're pretty wide and long, don't snag, and hold small sections well compared to basic metal alligator clips. They don't leave crease marks on my roots ever, and I use them on both wash and refresh days. I think the width helps with this considering typical alligator clips definitely do tend to leave their marks if I leave them in while drying.
