Masks
The CDC recommends using a face mask or other face cloth when out in public, especially when social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. Face masks provide a barrier between people in close proximity when speaking, coughing or sneezing. Additionally, they serve as a reminder not to touch your mouth or nose and potentially infect yourself.

Gloves
In addition to using alcohol based hand sanitizer, the CDC recommends wearing disposable gloves when cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. Gloves should be discarded after every use and not put back on between activities, and should be removed when touching any technology, especially cell phones.
