Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this kit! I was given one of these kit's when i first started and it took some time to learn, but I couldn't have found a better product to learn with. I tried a different kit recently (because it was the only one available) and it was just terrible, gooey and my nails looked dreadful, and i know what I'm doing. I highly recommend this product if you want to learn to do your own acrylic nails. the photo's attached, those are my nails when i used this product. And the odorless description is accurate especially in comparison with other products. The terrible product i used made me faint it was so bad. Only bad thing about this product, would be the price lol

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Waste of money I purchased this odorless kit of course because I did not want my house smelling like a nail salon with my small kids around. It is very odorless which I loved, however, almost 1.5hrs later i am still waiting for the acrylic to dry and this is just one hand. Only gave 2 stars because it is odorless but I will not purchase again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too tacky I bought this kit because my husband doesn’t like the smell of the other stuff. That’s where all the good stops. It took about 2 hours to dry, if that, the brush just sucks all around, and even if you have very little liquid on your brush it is still runny. I had to use the other liquid just to try to speed up the drying time. Also the liquid is very slimy and sticky

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Eh? First before I start my review, I'm not a professional or anywhere close to one. So chances are the thing's i dont like are my fault. However, I noticed it took forever to dry and when i went to file the tacky later off, I felt like all the acrylic was coming off. Therefore, at the bottom of my nails they're bendy not hard. Yet, the nails that dried quicker aren't bendy? Which were only like 2. Has this happend to anyone else?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Drys faster than other oderless monomer I bought this for school because for state board and our school, we have to use oderless. I purchased Kupa and it took forever to dry, but this one dried rather quickly. Yes the brush sucks, I recommend getting a Kolinsky brush size 8-10 for beginers. The one in the kit is camel. I also wish they sold the monomer by itself And in bigger sizes. I don’t want to by a kit evrytime I need more monomer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally odorless DOES HAVE STICKY LAYER BUT IS DRY There is a difference between dry and still having a tacky inhibition layer on top of a dry nail and what everyone experiences with this kit is the tacky layer on top of the dry nail similar to what you get if you use a regular gel top coat and have that sticky layer on top of the mail that you have to get rid of. The ratios for this acrylic and monomer are different than regular...2 to 1 instead of 1 to 1 so this requires a very dry bead.. not much liquid at all really, and then you must file away the sticky layer and/ or dip the sticky nail back in the powder to dry up the excess liquid and then file... it's personal preference... but it's NOT the nail not drying.. it's a layer of stickiness that's just like after using a full wipe gel top coat... You have to deal with the sticky layer but it doesn't mean the gel underneath isn't dry. They really need to explain this inhibition layer and how to deal with it on the bottles or in the instructions since it is such a major misunderstanding among people who use this product and just don't realize what that tackiness is and that the nails ARE DRY. It seems sally's would be doing themselves and their customers a big help by including info about that sticky layer and how to deal with it correctly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Perfect, but Waaaay Cheaper Than Salon! I only do acrylics on my thumbs, which have deep ridges. Everything you need is in this kit--except the tiny brush is no good. Like many reviewers said, the brush gummed up and fell apart on the first use. Buy a good brush and some acetone to soak it in when you are finished. Reviewers are correct, the acrylic does not set up quickly and is gummy, but if you are a novice, this is actually a good thing as it gives you time to get it right. You can file off the excess or use a Dremel-type nail tool to take it off. Let acrylic dry for a while, file the tops until smooth, then apply a coat of gel polish and you are good to go. This kit will save you bi-weekly trips to the nail salon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brush fell apart within minutes of use. I bought this kit thinking it would be great to use away from home. WRONG. I applied acrylic to my thumb and started on pointer finger...barely TWO nails in and as I cleaned the brush all of the bristles came out in one clump! Very aggravating!!

How long should it take to dry

How do you apply the mail form sticker it says to apply a nail form under the free edge of the natural now

Asked by: Lilitaly
The free edge of the natural nail oss the white part that grows out of the end off your finger that you would trim off of you don't want long nails. That is the free edge. So the form has a hole in it that you need to remove a piece from before you can use it and once you take that piece out of the hole you will see that one side of the hole comes apart off you tear at the perforation. Get a form and look at it now so you can see exactly what I'm talking about. That part that separates goes on top of your first knuckle and the hole is where your nail goes so that the white tip has the lined side of the form resting just under the it. Your entire nail should fill that hole with your nail being parallel to the form and the lined side being UNDER your fingernail while the sides of the lined portion stick together under your finger forming a hollow tube and the part you separated earlier is on top of your finger just behind your cuticle. Confusing without showing you and the absolute best thing you can do is go on YouTube and search "how to use paper nail forms" and once you see it in a finger you will understand completely. I promise.

Are forms included and if so how many?

Asked by: Jennypierson
It very clearly states in the description of this product above everything that comes with it in great detail including the fact that it comes with 30 nail forms. Sally's is very good at making sure the descriptions of their products list everything that is included, you just have to look down the page under the picture of the item until description is given and the list of included pieces is near the end.

I ran out of the powder in my kit but I do have a full size ASP Bonding Acrylic Powder that I had used previously with the traditional liquid (The smelly kind). Can I use that with the odorless liquid?

Asked by: Ahlix1977
I've used my regular powder with the no odor liquid monomer before and they only thing I noticed was the tackiness was maybe a slight bit worse but not unmanageable and it seemed that there was a slight odor but not nearly as strong as the original monomer and that might have been my mind playing tricks on me by expecting some sort of odor. The nails themselves were strong and good after I filed the tackiness off and lasted just as long as any other nail I have put on. I hope this helps.
