Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ardell Red gold corrector This product is really great to cancel Brassiness on ash hair colors from light ash brown to ash blonde! You can put 1 packet even on an over the counter hair color or even 2 if you really want to be sure. I recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazed and relieved I'm a blonde and I have tried toners for my hair after coloring it. It's been so frustrating that I can't get a beautiful blonde color I always get some brassy orange or yellow never get icy blonde. I used this red gold correction with my lightener and then toned my hair and finally I was blown away. No orange or yellow tones. I got icy blonde like I've always wanted . So very happy. I'm no professional but I love practicing on my hair .

Can you put this in box dye? (Semi permanent ammonia free)

Asked by: gataferoz
Yes you can. I add it to box dye, hair color I mix myself from Sally’s. I also add it to hair bleach I buy from sally’s. Just so you know, I am not a licensed cosmetologists. I have been using the red/gold corrector for many years. I personally love the product.

Can I use it along with gray magic drops? I have dark brown hair with resistant gray but often have some redish hair after dyeing

Asked by: Pattyp317
I tried Gray drops but alone, and sill my greys were not covered . So I now use only red gold protector to avoud brassy tones . Not sure how they both wil work together.

My natural hair is blonde, & been dyed black a lot. I had tons of trouble getting it back blonde, so gave up & dyed it black again. I want to go to an ashy blonde. Should I use a color remover, then bleach & this? Or how should I go about it?

Olaplex....not a knockoff, real deal.

Can I use it with toner?

Asked by: Nicolevon84
Toner will not work, unless you get hour hair past the red, orange, gold or yellow stage. So you should not use toner if you have any of those in your hair, because it won't work and will waste your money. You could try this in a darker hair color to get rid of some of those tones, but it is more for color than for toner. A darker color with an ash base will often do the trick on its own.

How do you use it? Do you mix it in a shampoo? Or conditioner? Or in the bleaching mix?

Asked by: LynnCan3
You mix it in together with toner and developer.

Hi I got my hair colored with low lights/ highlights now I have a greenish/grey tint on bottom What should I use? Thanks

Asked by: Micheled68
I had the same problem when i had my hair bleached to dye grey. I wanted to go back to my normal blonde and i was told to use colorful protein filler #10 red Primer corrector refresher. It gave it a nice warm natural blonde. Use it once a week when washing your hair and leave it in for about 5 minutes. It washes out but you can use this every now and then with your shampoo, it works perfect. the link for sallys is below. Make sure you use the red color. Hope this helps! https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair/hair-color/color-additives-and-fillers/protein-color-filler/CLRFUL2.html

Does this really work? I have an organgeish tint to my blonde hair and I need it gone.

Asked by: Meg1997B
It does. I normally put it in with the developer before applying to the hair. It takes the brassiness out.
