  • Brilliantly intense hair color No ammonia or peroxide Formulated in Italy Ready to use
ion Color Brilliance™ Semi-Permanent Brights are hi-fashion hair color shades designed to give vivid, boldly intense results. In 20 to 40 minutes ion Color Brilliance™ Brights deposits color on pre-bleached natural or color treated hair. ion Color Brilliance™ Brights can be applied to pre-lightened hair and natural or colored hair.
  • ion Color Brilliance Semi-Permanent Brights Hair Color can be applied two different ways.

    1. For the most vibrant result apply to pre-lightened hair. Pre-lighten with Ion Color Brilliance Ammonia Free Powder Lightener (not included) to the desired level of lift. It is important to note that the degree of lift achieved with pre-lightening will directly affect the vibrancy and intensity of the final result. Underlying exposed contributing pigment must be taken into consideration. If the hair is orange or a dark yellow this will contribute to the final color.

To achieve a boldly intense brights color, pre-lighten to the level indicated in the table below for each specific color. After pre-lightening, shampoo with ion Color Defense Shampoo. Dry the hair. Apply chosen brights shade directly on dry hair and process for 20 to 40 minutes depending on the level of color intensity desired. Strand test every 5-10 minutes. Heat is not necessary for processing if the hair has been pre-lightened. After processing, thoroughly rinse and apply ion® Color Brilliance After Color Treatment to close the cuticle and lock the color deep inside the hair.

    2. Color shine overlays on natural or color treated hair. Apply brights directly onto natural or color treated dry hair and process for 20 to 40 minutes. For more intense vibrant results, cover the hair with a processing cap and process with heat. Strand test every 5-10 minutes.

After processing is completed, thoroughly rinse and apply ion Color Brilliance After Color Treatment to close the cuticle and lock color deep inside the hair.

  • ion Color Brilliance Semi-Permanent Brights Hair Color are non-oxidative dyes that can be extremely long lasting and may become permanent. Apply to dry, pre-lighten hair.

Should removal be necessary from hair, it is important to know that lightener may not completely remove Brights from hair. ion Color Corrector is not recommended for removal of Brights. It is designed for permanent and Demi-Permanent color removal.

Always read the product packaging and inserts for complete directions, instructions, and warnings, and make sure to perform both the strand test and the patch test before applying your color.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Results. Washed out with first wash. We purchased 2 boxes and the same thing happened with both. Very disappointed. We used this same hair color in blue last year, and it worked well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved it We came out a little lighter than the sample. After bleaching my hair it came out orange, i put this hair color on. Put a plastic bag over my hair and applied heat. It came out so good. Loved it! We originally bought rose but this one was brighter and better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Ion Semi I buy ion semi permanent every month all different colors. They are all very good colors. With proper coloring and taking care of hair the color will last. I had Magenta in my hair for 2 months without fading. Of course it faded but it was still that bright magenta color. Only part it was my roots. I have short hair so I would buy 2 boxes. Put once tube in my hair for 20 mins then add the second tube and leave it in for another 20 mins. Then I will rinse my hair.

My 12 year old wants to use it and I don’t see any reason for that..can you convince me that there is no chance for anything to happen if she uses the product?

Asked by: ZakDalmai
What Markie88 said. I use it in my super bleached hair and it comes out and I use it as foils on the sides of my 4 year old daughter's hair and it washes out. The darker the hair, the less likely you will be able to see it though.

Is the rose actually a rose gold? And how long does it last?

Asked by: Marley grace
I’ve had better luck getting a rose gold color by first bleaching down to pale yellow and using the Salmon color instead.

What developer number should I use with this?

Asked by: Karhe2617
Instead of conditioner which will “fill” your hair, just add a teaspoon or two of distilled water to thin it out. Add a bit more water as needed depending on how much of the color you are using. I’ve done this numerous times and it works perfectly and doesn’t dilute the color at all. Do not use tap water!

I use the lavender color regularly but my darker hair is showing through. How can I totally strip the lavender out without waiting for it to grow out/eventually wash out? I want to lighten it and basically start over again with the permanent lavender.

Asked by: Susanw64
Ion has a hair color remover. However if your looking for a less harsher route, If you dont mind smelling like a puckle for a little bit (lol) try vinegar on your hair 5-10 minutes, rinse thoroughly with warm water. I hope this helps

How to dye my dirty blonde color hair to bright red and what do I need?

Asked by: BraydensMommy
This is really a question for a professional, saying that, in my experience to achieve bright red from dirty blonde, go to the regular hair dyes and choose your bright red and follow the directions. I used to have bright copper hair and never had to prebleach. But when I went platinum I had to prebleach.
