  • ion Color Brilliance Brights can be applied two different ways.

    1. For the most vibrant result apply to pre-lightened hair. Pre-lighten with ion Color Brilliance Ammonia Free Powder Lightener (not included) to the desired level of lift. It is important to note that the degree of lift achieved with pre-lightening will directly affect the vibrancy and intensity of the final result. Underlying exposed contributing pigment must be taken into consideration. If the hair is orange or a dark yellow this will contribute to the final color.

To achieve a boldly intense brights color, pre-lighten to the level indicated in the table below for each specific color. After pre-lightening, shampoo with ion Color Defense Shampoo. Dry the hair. Apply chosen brights shade directly on dry hair and process for 20 to 40 minutes depending on the level of color intensity desired. Strand test every 5-10 minutes. Heat is not necessary for processing if the hair has been pre-lightened. After processing, thoroughly rinse and apply ion® Color Brilliance After Color Treatment to close the cuticle and lock the color deep inside the hair.

    2. Color shine overlays on natural or color treated hair. Apply brights directly onto natural or color treated dry hair and process for 20 to 40 minutes. For more intense vibrant results, cover the hair with a processing cap and process with heat. Strand test every 5-10 minutes. After processing is completed, thoroughly rinse and apply ion Color Brilliance After Color Treatment to close the cuticle and lock color deep inside the hair.

  • ion Color Brilliance Semi-Permanent Neon Brights are non-oxidative dyes that can be extremely long lasting and may become permanent. Apply to dry, pre-lighten hair.

Should removal be necessary from hair, it is important to know that lightener may not completely remove Neon Brights from hair. ion Color Corrector is not recommended for removal of Neon Brights. It is designed for permanent and semi-permanent color removal.

Always read the product packaging and inserts for complete directions, instructions, and warnings, and make sure to perform both the strand test and the patch test before applying your color.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not vibrant. Doesn't last more than a few washes. Color is not vibrant at all. Very disappointed. Put on bleached hair also. So should have been vibrant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vibrant The color is super vibrant and pretty! It's not as dark as I thought, but most greens are hard to visualize.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Was not what i expected It was not as green as the swatch indicated it was more of a teal then shamrock green

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Barely Green This color came out light light green. It works best with a little blue mixed in. But overall, I would not recommend. Not even close to the box color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lasts me at least 6 months I love this color. I originally dyed it on to my natural hair color (lighter brown) and it turned into this beautiful deep orange/red. This is my go to color always. Right now, my hair is blue/silver but I long tk go back to my blood orange hair. I dont think I’ll keep my hair natural for a long time. And fortunately for me, it looks pretty natural even though its a “fun color”. Everytime I dye my hair with this particular color, it has not damaged my hair. My hairbis shiny and smooth after washing it. Ive used so many of the ion brilliance colors, and I can honsetly say Ive never had a problem with the blood orange. It even held strong with my dreadlocks.

Can i use a diluter with this

Asked by: tinalohise17
I highly recommend you didn’t. If you wanted to lighten up the color, then there’s are very beautiful pastel icon colors you could get instead. Or just start with the full color and when it finally fades, it turns into a beautiful pastel color. Part of the reason I prefer these colors, the fade beautifully, unlike a lot of other brands.

What developer should I get for bleached treated hair

Asked by: Ericboss
Do not use a developer with semi-permanent hair color! This Semi-permanent hair color is color deposit only.... Developer is used for Demi-permanent, and permanent hair color because along with color deposit, they also lift the color some too.

How to get pink without bleaching.

Asked by: Lulud110
If you want like a bright neon pink or even to get to a soft pink your hair needs to be light blonde or ash blonde to achieve that color. It all depends on your hair color. If you have dark color hair you need bleach...

Is it bad on the scalp to use a whole tube of ion semi perm color every 2 weeks or should only a half tube be used.

Asked by: Divalin1328
I would personally not recommend touching up roots every two weeks. As for how much you are using, it depends if you are just doing the roots or the whole length of hair and it also depends on how long your hair is. My recommendation would be to buy Ion's in-shower color masque and use as needed instead of dying your hair every two weeks. The masques by ion are super vibrant and tend to last 2-4 days (the hot red one lasts a couple weeks). Hope this helps!

I put a box brownish/red on never grey hair. For many months I've used great clarifying shampoo. Now, I have a good amount of grey roots. I was told to use ion Bright White 20 Developer. Creme. I want pastel lav or pink. What if it turns orang/red

Asked by: Sharlean04
if you're lightening your hair that had box brown/red on it, it will be orange no matter what. you will need to get it to a certain lightness before toning will truly make it light enough for a pastel.
