Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bright! Color came out brighter than I had thought it would, but still loved the color! Lasted a few weeks then started fading, which is normal with semi-permanent dye. Would definitely purchase again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Artic Fox Such a great semi permanent! It stays vibrant for several washes (5-7 washes for me). Unlike many other semi permanent colors, it does not run off on clothes and can easily be cleaned and/wipe off in sink, shower & tub.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Eh I had platinum blonde hair and used the periwinkle blue. Not only did it turn out a little more like teal (despite toning my hair prior) but it faded a lot after just 3 washes. Now I’m left with this really faded blue green color that I’m not confident will actually ever get out of my hair. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because it was a good result for the first day that I had it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purple Rain rules! Love the purple rain. Colors my medium brown hair without needing to prelighten. Color stays pretty well! So far the other colors don’t take as well as the purple rain. I’ve tried ritual, poison, blue jean baby and they just don’t cover as well as the purple rain. I have used the other colors to alter the purple rain with some nice results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’ve had it before Okay so artic fox YOU CAN wash your hair but I highly recommend no shampoo because it causes it to bleed and fade quickly. My hair is so so soft still with just conditioner and in fact I think artic fox makes my hair a tad bit softer after applying. Rinse with cold water first to wash out dye and it was very vibrant. I once had ritual in my natural hair color and a year later i bleached it AND IT WAS PINK! So yes it lasts a long time and I love it.

Will virgin pink work on my light brown natural hair?

Asked by: Skyleigh113
hi! from experience i recommend bleaching your hair first to get the full effect. most hair dyes are meant to be used on level 10-11 hair (light blonde). if your hair is light brown it may not be as vibrant. it’s all about what your preference is but i would bleach it first. i hope this helps!

I have very long and thick dark brown hair how much do I need and do I need to lighten my hair (what color if so)?

Asked by: aztangrl
I have dense hair past my waist and two bottles wasn't quite enough, I would suggest to go with three, but leave the third as a reserve should you need some extra. The good news is that once opened, you can use it more than once!

Am I able to dye over my currently colored hair? I used Aquamarine but it came out a lot more vibrant than I anticipated. I'd love more of a darker, or smokey teal shade. Any recommendations in regards to which color to add over the aquamarine?

Asked by: dianaisok
Maybe take a darker teal color and put it on top of it I would do a test strand and if it’s too dark add a white conditioner.

How dark is it with black hair?

Asked by: Kai03488
No semi color is going to show up on dark hair. It works best with prelightened/bleached hair

I have a somewhat faded green on the bottom of my hair and I was wondering if violets dream will it cover the color?

Asked by: Ashley2797
Hmmmm...violet dream does absorb and take to hair really, really well but I’m not sure what it would look like over a green that’s only somewhat faded. You may want to strip the green out first. That’s likely what I would do to make this kind of change. Good luck!!

If my daughter just wanted a couple strands colored, can you save the bottle and use more than once? Or do you have to use it all when you open it? Do you need anything else like an activator? Or is this all you need??

Asked by: KayKay90
You can absolutely used the bottle more than once. No activator needed; it's ready to use.

Will the iris green go over light blue hair?

Asked by: LorelaiLavey
If your light blue is very pale, like an acid washed jean light blue, the green will cover but may have a slight blue tint. If your blue is not that pale you will either want to let it fade out more or lighten it with bleach (lightener) before using the Iris green.

i have bleached hair (level 9-10) and wanted to try to go black. most of the semi permanent black have bad reviews. is transylvania good? any other recommendations?

Asked by: Anonymous
Transylvania is good however it is a blue based black so it may not turn out black on your level 9 hair and may look more blue. You’ll most likely need to fill your hair with a red/copper colour first if you want to put a dark shade on your hair
